Empe Digital Product Passport (DPP) & Verifiable Asset Profiles
Products
Information
Empe redefines the Digital Product Passport (DPP) as a sovereign identity for physical goods. Engineered to meet EU Ecodesign (ESPR) requirements, it secures the accumulation of trusted data. Currently piloted with the World Economic Forum, it mitigates counterfeiting risks through non-repudiable data provenance.
Key Capabilities:
- Autonomous Asset Wallets: Assigns a secure, off-chain DID wallet to each asset. This container collects cryptographic proofs (manufacturing, logistics), binding physical items to digital DPPs via secure tags to prevent cloning or spoofing.
- Dynamic Lifecycle Integrity: Supports multi-issuer workflows where authorized entities append signed updates (repairs, firmware). The DPP becomes a tamper-evident log for the asset's entire lifecycle.
- Vendor-Agnostic Verification: Built on W3C standards (VCs & DIDs) to prevent vendor lock-in. Regulators and auditors can verify product data independently of the original issuer, ensuring long-term data availability and compliance.
